The weather is turning grey and cold here in Germany, which is the perfect excuse to brew a cup of tea and ship some of your most requested features. This is a big one!

FEATURE DROP INCOMING! 📦

You have all been sharing amazing ideas on making Menu, please! better. Since I’m working alone on this project, it can sometimes take a while to bring them to life, but I’ve been busy for the past two weeks making sure the wait was worth it.

🇺🇳 We are now multilingual: You can now translate menus into Spanish, German, French, Arabic, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. I’m always looking for volunteers to help improve translation quality and add new languages.

⏩ Translate multiple pages/menus at the same time: I know waiting for translations can be annoying, especially with a multi-page menu. The wait is over! You can now add multiple images and translate them all in parallel.

💌 Share menus with everyone: No more passing a phone around the table! You can now share a translated menu with a link. Your friends can see the menu and use all the features, even if they don’t have the app, except for translating new menus.

📱Quality-of-life improvements: I’ve also made a bunch of smaller tweaks that add up to a much better experience. Think of them as quality-of-life upgrades to get you from photo to food faster.

• Set It & Forget It: Your language preferences are now saved automatically. No more selecting them every single time.
• No More Guessing: A new loading status in the “All menus” section shows you the exact progress of your translation.
• Easy Order Overview: When selecting dishes, you can now see the number of dishes you’ve added to the order per category, making it simple to keep track, especially when you’re ordering a feast.
• Smarter Translations, 30% Faster: We’ve upgraded to Google’s latest Gemini 2.5 Preview model. For you, this means quicker results and more accurate translations, even on tricky menus!
