We are live on the Apple App Store! 🎉
Usually, we share our progress every Friday — but this week, we held off a bit to make sure the Menu, please! iOS application was available and ready to go.
What’s New
📱 Menu, please! iOS App
We’re officially on the Apple App Store! This is a huge leap for the 75% of Menu, please! users on iPhones — making the experience faster, smoother, and more reliable than ever. Click here to get it now
📌 Sticky Category Navigation
We’ve made the category menu sticky, so you can jump between menu sections without endless scrolling. A small change, but a big impact for those navigating long, detailed menus.
🧾 Manage Your Account
Now that we’ve moved beyond 500 users, our previous “email us to delete your account” method just doesn’t scale. You can now request account deletion directly in the app — no emails needed (though we’ll still be sad to see you go!).
🍜 More Accurate Menu Details
We improved how Menu, please! interprets menus. You’ll now see more details like multiple pricing options, toppings, portion sizes, and other customizations when available.
What’s Next
🤖 Android Version
The Android version is currently undergoing a mandatory test phase with Google. Want early access and help us launch? Click here to become a tester.
🧠 Smarter Handling of Complicated Menus
We’ve seen some beautifully chaotic, handwritten menus that confuse even the best models. We’re working on a smarter detection system to flag problematic menus and provide better feedback — instead of confidently hallucinated translations.
🔐 Smoother Login in Native Apps
Because Menu, please! is built as a web app using PWABuilder, native login features like FaceID or fingerprint unlock aren’t available yet. We’re looking into solutions — but the good news is: you only need to log in once.
Weekly Thank You
Massive shoutout to our friend Ruben, a talented product manager & developer who is currently touring Japan, field-testing Menu, please! in real-world situations and doing some guerilla marketing. 🤫 We’ve already learned a ton from his feedback, and we can’t wait to hear more stories and insights from the trip.
Have a great start to the week!
